UFO Party: Know Your Parties

posted on 4/29/13

Several years before the Wright Brothers made their famous first flight in Kitty Hawk, there had been several sightings of a cigar-shaped mystery object in the air across the United States, and on April 17th 1897 in Aurora Texas, resident S.E. Haydon reported an alleged UFO crashed into Judge J.S. Proctor’s Windmill at 6am local time. The pilot was found dead at the scene and described as a “Martian” and “not of this world“. The alien was then buried with Christian rites at the local cemetery, according to an Army officer from Fort Worth. Keeping in the spirit of our Visiting Alien Overlords, we’re here to help you throw an Extraterrestrial Bonanza that will have them talking for lightyears!

Party Favors

Alot of party planners go with the night time sky with planets and stars and glow-in-the-dark motif for the UFO Party, which is a good angle that gives a very luminous and space-like environment for party goers, but there’s tons of simple ways to turn typical party elements into alarming space aged party favors, just take a look below!

Space aged food not necessarily the way to go with the UFO, taking familiar recipes and adding some galactic flair. Spaceship Chips or Planet Cupcakes, or whatever your guests enjoy, just give anything tasty that freaky other-worldly twist (invest in neon green and blue food dye!)

Scientists report that Aliens love to get wasted! Here’s some out-of-this-world drinks to that will send you on a trajectory to the best UFO Party of your life!

Alien Brain Hemorrhage Cocktail
The cocktail consists of half a shot glass full of peach schnapps, with Bailey’s Irish Cream poured on top. Once the shot is almost full, a small amount of blue curacao is added, and once that settles, a small splash of grenadine tops the drink off.

UFOs tease our radars and scanners all the time, it’s time to tease back with some high energy UFO Party Games!

UFO Frisbee
Allow your party guests to test out their UFO flying skills by throwing Frisbees through the air. Add excitement to the game by using a camera to capture a few of the sightings. The person who makes her Frisbee travel farthest is the winner.

UFO Designer
Allow the guests to be UFO designers and hold a competition to see which alien produces the best ride. Keep the game organized by having tables with materials set up before guests arrive. Time the creation portion of the game to ensure all guests receive the same amount of work time. Once the UFOs are completed, displayed them for judging. Give a prize to the winner.
